The journey matters too
Our vision brings making closer to people: designs travel digitally, objects are made nearby and delivered locally. A merchant can print, check and package a piece with great care, but the customer’s experience is only as good as the final handover. Delivery partners are the people who connect the place where something is made to the person it is made for.
That is why we see delivery as a partnership, not an afterthought. We want to work with people who understand that a carefully made object deserves a careful journey.
How delivery fits the planned order journey
Our planned workflow keeps production and delivery clearly separate. You can follow the whole sequence in From design to doorstep. For delivery partners, the key points are these:
- Production comes first. A local merchant prints every piece in the order, following a released production plan.
- Every piece is checked. The merchant quality-checks each piece and photographs the finished work.
- The customer accepts. The order is presented for customer acceptance before anything leaves the workspace.
- Then it is packaged. The complete, accepted order is packaged for travel.
- Only then is collection arranged. A delivery partner collects the whole order and carries it to the customer.
This means a delivery partner should never be asked to wait for printing to finish, to collect half an order, or to make repeat trips for missing pieces. One order travels together as one delivery. It is simpler for the customer, clearer for the merchant and fairer to the person carrying it.
Collection is arranged only when the whole order is ready, checked, accepted and packaged. One order, one delivery.
What we value in delivery partners
Careful handling
Printed objects can be detailed, delicate or unusually shaped. We value partners who treat each parcel as something made for a particular person, and who can tell us what packaging and handling practices work in real local conditions.
Reliable handover
A clear handover at both ends protects everyone. We want to understand how you confirm collection from a merchant and delivery to a customer, and how issues such as failed delivery attempts or damage would be recorded and resolved.
Local knowledge
Short local journeys are only efficient when someone knows the area. Independent delivery people and established logistics businesses both bring knowledge that a platform cannot replace. Our regional development focus includes local delivery coordination in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Clear, fair responsibilities
Readiness belongs with the merchant; the journey belongs with the delivery partner. We believe each role should be defined before work begins, so nobody is held responsible for something outside their control. This is one of our values.
Shorter journeys, not instant promises
Local making can shorten the distance between maker and customer. It does not make fulfilment instant. Preparation, printing, cooling, finishing, checks, customer acceptance and travel all take time. We will not ask delivery partners to meet unrealistic promises, and we will not describe our model to customers as instant delivery.
The ambition is shorter journeys, not a promise of instant fulfilment. Any environmental benefit from shorter trips is something to be measured over time, not assumed.
What a delivery partner could gain
- Clear collection conditions. Orders designed to be complete and packaged before you arrive.
- A voice early on. The chance to shape how collection, handover and coverage work while the model is still being designed.
- Openness. We are open by design: participants keep their own brand, their own customers and their freedom to work elsewhere. We are not seeking exclusive arrangements.
What we would discuss first
- The areas you cover and the times you are typically available.
- The vehicles, equipment and packaging you work with.
- How you confirm collection and handover, and how you handle problems.
- Insurance, safety and any requirements you already meet.
- The kind of arrangement that would suit you, whether as an individual or a business.
Coverage, availability, responsibilities and commercial terms would all need to be agreed before participation.
What we will not promise
This is an invitation to talk. It does not guarantee work, delivery volumes, routes or earnings, and it is not an offer of employment. Applying does not create an obligation on either side.
Where we are today
Our order workflow and platform, TALODI.network (opens in a new tab), are in development. There is no live courier dispatch, no operating delivery coverage, and physical delivery is not offered through this corporate website. What we have is a clear design principle and a wish to build it with the people who know local journeys best. If that is you, we would like to hear from you.
